If you're a first-time home buyer in St. Louis County, here's some good news: A new partnership with a loan program is allow residents their share of $56-million in funding dollars.
The county has teamed up with the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency. Local residents can apply for loan funding from the $3,496,783 allocated for St. Louis County specifically.
First-time home buyers can apply for fixed interest rates and down payment and closing cost loans up to $10,000. To qualify, buyers must purchase homes in St. Louis County that cost up to $258,000; Income limits for $77,000 for a 1 to 2-person household and $89,000 for a 3+ person household.
