The college-area has been busy with a slew of project work during the past month or so.  Crews are working hard to make water main upgrades along Arrowhead Road and complete the Campus Connector Trail.

Here are updates on both projects - from the City of Duluth.

Arrowhead Road:  Work has progressed nicely on the water main upgrade project.  The intersection of Arrowhead and Kenwood is almost done and crews will be working on street restoration this week.  The east-bound lane remains closed to traffic until paving work is finished;  pavement is expected to be finialized before the middle of the week.

Campus Connector Trail:  The new ten-foot multi-purpose non-motorized trail near College Street is coming along according to schedule.  This week, officials overseeing the  project will shut down traffic on  the west-bound lane of College Street - between Junction Avenue and Kenwood Avenue - to install curb and gutter.  This lane will re-open during the overnight hours.  The east-bound lane will remain open but drivers should expect some delays during rush hour and when trucks deliver concrete to the site.  When finished, the College Connector Trail will cross through several neighborhoods and educational campuses  - eventually connecting to the Lakewalk Trail.
