I've been enjoying a glass of milk and an Oreo or two since I was a kid, and I know I'm not alone. The Oreo has become an institution, and has pretty much stayed the same over the years.  To put it in perspective, both my father and grandfather enjoyed the Oreo cookie. That's pretty cool.

Raise your glasses (of milk) to an American icon turning 100 years old today.

The Oreo cookie was born March 6, 1912, when the National Biscuit Company sold its first batch to a grocer in Hoboken, N.J. Today, the delectable treat is sold in 100 countries around the world, topping $2 billion in annual revenue.
