Former Mayor Don Ness did it and now newly-elected Mayor Emily Larson is doing the same - although this time it's being taken on the road.

Wednesday, February 24 marks the first of a series of City Hall In The City meetings that are scheduled to be held on a regular basis.  The meeting is similar in nature to events that have been held in the past in that community residents will be able to get face-time with their elected leaders to make their voices and concerns heard;  the difference this time around is that city government leaders are taking the meetings on the road - to locations throughout the community.

The first of these meetings  - the one on February 24 - will happen at the Gary-New Duluth Community and Recreation Center:  801 101st Avenue West, starting at 5:30 PM.

In addition to the opportunity for adults to make their voices heard, Mayor Larson will bring along art supplies for children to create works of art that will hang on her office walls.

Can't make it to this meeting?  Mark your calendar for the next City Hall In The City meeting to be held on Wednesday, March 16 - with a location to be still be determined.
