The pick of the crop is yours  - Tuesday, August 15 - as the Downtown Duluth Farmers Market returns to Lake Superior Plaza.  From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, shop the harvest you'll find from local farmers and gardeners.  Included on the roundup of items that will be available are locally-grown blueberries, new potatoes, carrots, beets, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, zucchini (of course), kale, cucumbers, and more.

Oliver Bridge Project Extended Into November [Update]

Superior’s Calumet Refinery Sold To Husky Energy

A $553-million deal will see the new owners for the Calumet Refinery in Superior.  Husky Energy - a company located in Canada - will absorb the refinery into it's operation - increasing its capacity by 50,000 barrels a day.

Highway 73 Roundabout Project Starts August 14

A major road project kicks off on Monday, August 14 in Chisholm, Minnesota.  Work crews with St. Louis County will begin the process of constructing a roundabout on the south end of town where Highway 73 meets up with the new route of Highway 5.  A detour will be in place during the two-month process.
