Halloween is my most favorite Holiday. I love scary things, I like sexy things......wooot woooot!!, and I like the fact that life is hard, let's find ways to escape. It's the one time of the year you can be someone else and have fun in their shoes.

Boo at the Zoo is back, for two weekends October 12 and October 19th. You can buy your tickets in advance at the Lake Superior Zoo. Here is some more info:

Enjoy trick or treating within the safe and beautiful grounds of the Lake Superior Zoo. Many places to stop and the kids make a haul of candy, Halloween-themed activities, food vendors and hundreds of zoo animals. Make sure you stop by the KOOL booth.

Activities include a huge pumpkin patch to play in, hourly costume contests, free hayrides, face painting, games, and a special “Creepy Critters” animal exhibit. All the activities are designed to be fun for kids – not scary. Of course, there is CANDY!!

You have to buy tickets to the event  Tickets are $9 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the zoo, online until October 7th, or at any area Little Store through October 19th. Adult members of the Lake Superior Zoo are admitted for free, as are children under age 2 who are not trick or treating. Children 2 and older must purchase a ticket.

New this year: Free round-trip DTA transportation with advance ticket purchase is available. When purchasing tickets “in person” merely ask if the bus tickets are available. For on-line purchases, indicate how many round trip bus tickets you require during the checkout process. NOTE: Children ages 4 and under ride free on the DTA, so do not request tickets for these children. A maximum of three children ages 4 and under ride free when accompanied by an attending passenger age 13 or older.

Call 218.730.4500 ext. 200 for admission rates and Advance Ticket information.
