Around 1:45 a.m. this morning I awoke to the sound not unlike that of a train heading directly towards our home. I looked out the window to see debris flying through the air, and heavy rain. It lasted about ten to fifteen minutes, then started to quiet down, so I went back to bed.

I was  up at my usual time, 5:00 a.m. and again looked out the window only to find my friend and neighbor Steve Sherner dragging huge tree limbs through his yard. My neighbors the Levos got hit very hard as well.
As I looked up the street, I saw fallen trees all around. We had huge tree branches in our yard, one stuck in the ground so hard I couldn't pull it out. My sister-in-law Maureen had a huge tree fall on her deck, power lines were down and Jim Dawson our Fire Chief and village employees have been  out since 2 a.m. assisting those in need. Parts of Lake Nebagamon still have no power.

Mrs. Rayman took a quick trip through the village, and snapped some photos to give you some idea of the damage.
