You Won’t Believe How This Duluth Burger King Employee Quit Their Job

Somebody quit the Duluth Burger King on London Road in a very interesting way.

It has been extremely tough the last year or so to not only keep employees but also to get new employees. Many people are hiring and looking for people due to worker shortages across the United States.

According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the COVID pandemic caused a major disruption in the labor force across America. Some even called it "The Great Resignation". In 2021 alone, more than 47 million workers quit their jobs.

Every now and then you hear about some pretty wild quitting stories. In high school, a buddy of mine agreed with his co-worker to just leave and quit during the shift. During a closing shift, he and his co-worker put the food away, shut the lights off, locked the doors, and left a note for management to come in to the next day.

Over the weekend, one employee had enough at a fast-food chain in Duluth. I saw a picture making the rounds on Reddit that had two pieces of paper taped to the drive-thru speaker. One paper said "Sorry we are closed", while the other one:

Management treats employees terrible here so I quit. Sorry for the inconvenience to our customers. Please support a business that values their hard working employees. Thank you.

I went by this morning to see if this happened or if it was just a prank for social media. When I got there, the papers were gone. However, you could still see where they were taped. I even asked an employee about it and they confirmed that it did happen.

I have no idea what happened to cause this. I feel for the employees that now have to pick up the slack after this incident though.
