A late-season road project will affect drivers on Woodland Avenue Monday, November 5.  Work crews with the City of Duluth will be on site to install a temporary bituminous road patch to an stretch of the road that's necessitated by a previous street utility project.

From 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the southbound lane of Woodland Avenue between East 8th Street and Garden Street will be temporarily closed as work crews perform the necessary road patch.  During the closure, southbound traffic on Woodland Avenue can take East Kent Road or Eats 8th Street as a detour route.  Northbound traffic on Woodland Avenue will not be affected at all by the road work.

The closure is anticipated to be complete and finished by the afternoon - depending on work and weather conditions.  The temporary patch will service the road this winter until a crew can come back and install a more permanent road patch during next summers road construction season.
