If you're like most people, you've done due-diligence every two years - re-registering your telephone number with the Do Not Call List database - effectively removing your digits from the phone lists that get sold to telemarketers.  While the registry was a welcome respite from having a slew of telemarketers solicit you (at some of the most inopportune times).

Now, it appears that you won't have to make that biannual call anymore.

According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Wisconsin's state list is being merged with the Federal Trade Commission's national database as of August 1;  that list provides a permanent way of removing your telephone number from telemarketers.
