This is one list Wisconsin residents will be happy to be a part of! A new study has named Wisconsin one of the best states to retire in.

The study was put out by WalletHub Monday morning (January 13). It names the best states to retire in this year. Wisconsin came it at number eight, cracking the top ten. This is pretty impressive when you take all fifty states into consideration!

So how did they come to this conclusion? The study took factors like cost of living, museums per capita and highest life expectancy into consideration. Wisconsin also placed eighth when it comes to ranking quality of life, which certainly helped boost it to the top of the list!

This is awesome news! Most people wouldn't consider a state in the midwest as a good place to retire due to the weather alone. While I don't blame anyone for this reasoning, we still have so much to offer that makes the cold worth it.

By the way - if you're wondering where Minnesota came in, it didn't do too shabby. Minnesota came in as the 16th best state to retire, thanks to its number one ranking in health care and quality of life. (A recent study named it one of the worst, so I guess each study has to be taken with a grain of salt.)

If you're looking to retire soon, consider Florida and Colorado while avoiding Kentucky, New Mexico and Rhode Island. Ha!
