The 2020 NFL season is fast approaching, and one of the preseason traditions for most of the last 20 years has been the HBO reality sports documentary series 'Hard Knocks'. For the uninitiated, the series follows the inner workings of a team as players and coaches prepare for the upcoming season.

While the show traditionally has featured a single team each year since the inception in 2001, the 2020 season will focus on two teams. As Los Angeles Rams and (recently relocated) Los Angeles Chargers prepare for the inaugural season at the shared SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, both teams volunteered to be the subject of this year's Hard Knocks.

The trailer for this season dropped Tuesday. Give it a look.

This is the first time the series has featured two teams in one season. The Rams were featured during the 2016 season, but the Chargers have never been part of the series. In case you were wondering, the Vikings and Packers have never been part of the show.

The series debut is August 11 on HBO, and the series will also be available on the network's streaming service, HBO Max, which launched earlier this year.
