Living in the Northland, we often take the post-secondary educational institutions located in our region for granted.  Duluth and Superior offer a variety of public and private colleges, universities, and trade schools for people looking to continue their education after high school.  One of those institutions recently received national recognition.

The University of Wisconsin-Superior has been recognized in the annual listing that U.S. News & World Report puts out, ranking the nations collegiate institutions in a variety of categories.  UWS achieved a listing in the "2018 Best Online Graduate Education Programs. According to collateral that was released with the news, in order to qualify, the "schools were ranked on engagement, services and technologies, expert opinion, student excellence, and faculty credentials and training".

An option that didn't exist say twenty years ago, the online graduate degrees offered by UWS include:

  • Educational Instruction
  • Educational Administration
  • Educational Administration - Superintendent
  • Special Education

Additionally, the university offers the following online degrees:

  • Data Science
  • Health and Wellness Management
  • Sustainable Management

U.S. News & World Report has compiled their annual listing of America's Best Colleges since 1983.
