Using A Cell Phone In A Construction Zone Is Now Illegal In Wisconsin
With the road construction season starting up, here's a recently-passed law change that you'll want to be aware of: It is now illegal to use a cellular (or other wireless) phone while driving through a construction zone in Wisconsin.
Wisconsin State Assembly Bill 198 was just signed into law on March 31, 2016.
The following penalties were also established for those found in violation of this new law:
- First offense: $20 - $40
- Second (and subsequant) offense: $50 - $100
