Two different road projects that start this week will affect drivers for a portion of the summer.  The City of Duluth is advising that a project on east 4th Street and one on 24th Avenue West are starting today.

The work on east 4th Street is primarily tied to a gas utility improvement project - between Wallace Avenue and Hawthorne Road.  Portions of this roadway will be closed as construction continues.  Officials expect the work to be wrapped up by the end of June.

Another project on 24th Avenue west will see concrete patching between 5th and 6th street.  This Lincoln Park work will improve road conditions due to a previous water main excavation.  A detour will be posted.  This project is only expected to last a week.
