Christian Ponder and the Minnesota Vikings silenced critics yesterday with a convincing win over the explosive Detroit Lions 34-24. The Vikings now move to a record of 6-4 going into the bye week, but things get "real" after that with four of the final six games on the road and four of those are against division foes, the Packers and the Bears.
Adrian Peterson continues to make his case for comeback player of the year and maybe even MVP, by running for 171-yards and scoring a TD on a 61-yard run in the 4th quarter.
Without Percy Harvin the Vikings started rookie WR Jarius Wright who caught three passes for 65-yards and a TD, they also spread the ball around more with Ponder passing to 10 different receivers, including himself, he ended the game with 221-yards and 2 TD's.
