Temporary Road Closure In Downtown Duluth To Start May 12; Closed Street Will Allow Continued Work On New Maurices Headquarters

The City of Duluth is getting the word out about a lane closure that will occur Tuesday, May 12 in the downtown area.

The north bound lane of 5th Avenue West will be closed, between Superior Street and the alley just below West First Street, starting May 12th until approximately June 5th, due to crane placement for precast installation for the Maurices Headquarters construction. Motorists are encouraged to use West First Street or West 2nd Street to access the trio of government buildings and surrounding businesses.

The relocation of this crane will open up 4th Ave West to motor vehicle traffic.
