Winter has returned to a large portion of Wisconsin and travel is not recommended in the areas of impact.

If you're traveling south of Duluth, be prepared for slippery road conditions into Thursday.

The weekend winter storm is making things cold and slippery, and blizzard conditions linger not too far from Duluth.

Things have calmed down in the Duluth area, but not elsewhere.

Here we go again! The National Weather Service is tracking a complex storm system expected to impact the region Sunday into Monday.

It can be very tempting to go down to check out huge waves when they develop on Lake Superior. However, while this storm is raging, that could be a very dangerous idea.

It may be hard to believe that more snow is on the way, but more snow is on the way, probably enough to shovel and plow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. This is already the 6th snowiest winter on record at the Twin Ports, and this next storm will get us into the Top 5. Lovely!

Road conditions have deteriorated so badly in parts of the state that MnDOT issued a No Travel Advisory for 12 counties.

It appears Mother Nature isn't waiting very long to give us our first winter storm of 2023 and this one will certainly make travel difficult across the Northland.

Just after midnight on Wednesday, the National Weather Service included the Duluth area in a Winter Storm Warning that goes into Thursday.
