Two Harbors

Whether you've lived here your whole life or have only visited the Twin Ports for a day or so - chances are that you've stopped to watch the ore boats as they arrive and depart from the largest inland port in the nation.  Now, your chance to ride on one of those boats is coming;  In fact, you could spend five days on the "cruise of a lifetime"!

Wind, waves, cold, and snow hit the Twin Ports as the first major winter storm of the year passed through. Much of the area saw several feet of snow fall (see snowfall totals) to kick off the long winter season.

For the last 24 years, generous businesses, organizations, and individuals have given of their time, talent, and funds to put on a free Thanksgiving Day Dinner for individuals.  This year's event happens Thursday, November 28 from 11AM to 4PM at the DECC in Duluth.

To coordinate the race route for the North Shore Inline Marathon, Duluth Police have announced the following road closures - for the race which will be run on Saturday, September 15th.

Drivers that take Highway 61 between Duluth and Two Harbors can expect lane closures and orange cones through the middle of November, as Department of Transportation officials get to work on repairing flood damage from this past summer's storm in June...
