Things are the same, the more they change. At least for Jim Peterik, founder of Survivor, and back with the Ides Of March, where he started. A lot has changed, but one thing that hasn't is a good song.

Jimi Jamison, the singer for Survivor during their peak mid-'80s run, has died.

Arguably the band's biggest hit in a career with no shortage of them, Survivor's 'Eye of the Tiger' is a song every classic rock fan knows pretty much by heart. Still, we feel pretty confident saying you've never heard it like this.

After recently reuniting with lead singer Jimi Jamison, a member of Survivor has now gone to court to protect one of the group’s best known songs, ‘Eye of the Tiger,’ from being used by Presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich.
