It was a big day for law enforcement in St. Louis County! A Noon-time ceremony at the Public Safety Building saw 14 new Sheriff Deputies sworn in and 20 new Corrections Officers; New employees at 911 Emergency Communications and other similar positions also took part in the program.
Here's an update on the 1978 Ford pickup truck that dredging crews discovered last week in the harbor. Officials with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office are now treating the case as a stolen vehicle. The truck was reported stolen to the Duluth Police Department on August 25, 1990 and has apparently been laying on the bottom of the harbor since that time...
