Superior’s 21st Street Viaduct To Close To West-Bound Traffic On April 6
An alternative route might not be a bad idea! Work crews with the City of Superior will be making repairs to the west-bound lane of 21st Street - between Oakes Avenue and Washington Avenue - better known as the 21st Street Viaduct on Friday, April 6.
In order to facilitate the project, the west-bound lane will close between the hours of 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM - although the exact timeline could vary due to outside factors. Flaggers will be present on either side of the viaduct to direct vehicles across in either direction.
Due to the heavily-traveled nature of the roadway and the fact that they will only be allowing vehicles to pass over the viaduct one direction at a time, backups and delays are expected. Drivers are encouraged to search out alternative routes for at least the morning hours.
