Superior Public Library Annual Book Sale To Be Biggest One Yet
The book sale at the Superior Public Library returns after taking last year off due to the COVID-19 Pandemic - Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18. Organizers are planning for one of the largest book sales ever - and just in time for the change of seasons and the eventual winter cabin fever.
The annual sale - put together by the Friends of the Superior Public Library - was paused last year in correlation with the shutdowns associated with the pandemic. That created a void for many Northland book lovers who usually looked forward to getting a large number of titles for their winter reading. At the same time, the group had already started to collect donated books and items. The combination of both of these items means that the 2021 edition of the book sale should prove to be what the group is billing as "massive".
While the dates are set on the calendar, the Friends of the Superior Public Library will finalize timing for the event as we get closer. Either way, the sale usually offers a wide-scope of times making it convenient to attend.
If you have donations, they're still being accepted and go towards the good of the cause - raising funds for the library operations. You can drop yours off at the main library entrance on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
What can you expect if you go? On the Superior Public Library's website, they say that this "massive sale [will] feature[...] thousands of fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, children's books, DV's, and much more".

The Superior Public Library is located at the corner of Belknap Street and Tower Avenue, at 1530 Tower Avenue. Current hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (open until 7:00 PM on Tuesdays). Curbside service is available on Saturday's only from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
