Get an up-close look at the workings of the Superior Fire Department, learn about important safety measures, and have some fun at the same time.  Everyone's invited to attend the Open House at the department's Headquarters facility on Tower Avenue,  Saturday, October 22.

It'll be an afternoon full of activities from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

This Open House event is an opportunity for people to get a look inside the new Headquarters facility, which was built on the same campus as the prior building in 2018. Take a tour and learn about what goes on inside a building that you probably drive by all the time.

Organizers of the Open House are promising activities for all ages.  Throughout the afternoon, there'll be interactive children's activities, rescue demonstrations, fire prevention educational info, and the Fire Safety Smoke House demonstration. Sparky The Fire Pup will also be on hand for a meet and greet session with the kids.

At the same time as the tours and fire safety demonstrations are being held, the Superior Fire Department will also host a Car Seat Clinic; parents and grandparents with young children are invited to bring their car seats in for details on how to properly install them in their vehicles.

Thee will also be door prizes to win and refreshments will be served.

All of the events of the afternoon are free and everyone is invited to stop by.

The Superior Fire Department Headquarters facility is located at 3326 Tower Avenue in Superior.  You can find out more about the department and get safety tips and recommendations on their page on the City of Superior's website.
