September might be many things to different people but for those who love to read and have access to community resources, there is another reason to celebrate.  Nationally, the month of September is Library Card Sign Up Month and to recognize its importance, the Superior Public Library has an added incentive.

First, the library is encouraging everyone who doesn't already have a library card to sign up for one.  The process is easy, doesn't take long, and the end result provides access to an infinite amount of entertainment and resources.

When you sign up for that new library card, the Superior Public Library has a way for you to score a $50.00 prize.  Right now during National Library Card Month, you'll be automatically entered into a drawing to win a $50.00 prize.  That incentive is available for all new sign ups during the entire month of September.

Already have a library card?  You still could win the $50.00.  Right now the Superior Public Library also has a survey that they're conducting.  Enter your information online, and then share your experiences; the survey is looking for you to share the ways that you've used library resources to "search for jobs, do homework" and more.  In addition, you'll be prompted to "share your examples of how [the] library promotes the value and joy of lifelong reading and learning", share your favorite library service, and more.  That survey is available online.

Once you have that library card, you can put it to use at the Superior Public Library.  Not only do they offer traditional in-person services but they also provide a wide variety of online resources.

The Superior Public Library is located at the corner of Belknap Street and Tower Avenue in Superior at 1530 Tower Avenue.  They're currently open Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday's 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  The library is closed on Sundays.
