Officials with St. Louis County are proud of one of their own!  County Auditor/Treasurer Don Dicklich walked away with honors as the Outstanding Auditor of the Year - as awarded by his peers at their state meeting in Bloomington on February 3.

Dicklich has been the Auditor/Treasurer for St. Louis County since 2004. As the Auditor, Dicklich is responsible for overseeing elections, the tax division, finance and accounting, and the service center. Dicklich's office encompasses a staff of approximately 70 at three locations: the Duluth and Virginia Courthouses and the Auditor's Service Center at the Miller Hill Mall.

The award from the Minnesota Association of County Officers highlights Dicklich's wealth of financial knowledge that he uses for negotiating contracts and bonding projects.  The recognition also spotlights Dicklich's attention to utilizing taxpayer funds wisely.  He has also helped St. Louis County reach an AA+ Standard and Poor's rating.
