A road project near Pine City will close the Highway 7 southbound ramps for the next two weeks. According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, work will begin on the southbound I-35 ramps near the Snake River on Thursday, August 9.

In order to accommodate the work, drivers on Highway 7 that wish to head  southbound on I-35 will be detoured onto the southbound ramps at Highway 70 and Highway 11.

The scope of the project will include upgrades and asphalt work.  The end-result of the road project is a smoother driving experience for drivers as well as increasing safety precautions.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the work on the southbound I-35 ramps at Highway 7 near Pine City is expected to wrap up in about two weeks - depending on the weather conditions.
