Best news ever! A popular restaurant in Superior will appear on an upcoming episode of Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives again.

Shorty's Pizza & Smoked Meat will be featured on the Food Network hit for an upcoming episode. In fact, the restaurant filmed for the upcoming episode over the summer. At the time, they wrote the following on their Facebook page:

Thursday we were blessed to have the Triple D Nation production crew check out what we have been up to since their last visit in July 2014. We featured some dishes our customers love and our pizza of course! Thanks to everyone involved. We will keep you posted on our air date!
Wow! I can't wait to see the episode. Just thinking about it makes me hungry!

Shorty's Pizza & Smoked Meat, as mentioned, has been featured on the show before and for good reason. They are known for their delicious meat, pizza options and fun atmosphere.

Around the same time, another popular restaurant was also filming for the hit show. In July, Gordy's Hi-Hat employees announced they were also filming a segment for the show. They didn't reveal too many details and Guy Fieri was not in any of the photos shared at the time.

According to KBJR, those with Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives were in town filming a follow-up with other area restaurants that have been featured on the show in the past. No other restaurants that have been filmed for the show have commented on if they will appear on an upcoming episode.

However, the Duluth Grill did close early one day while the film crew was in town. According to their Facebook page, they closed for "something amazingly awesome." Ha! They also coyly responded to a fan who asked if it had to do with Guy Fieri.

There is no word on just when the episode will air but we will continue to keep you updated when we learn more. I can't wait! In the meantime, you can see which Northland favorites we might be seeing on an upcoming episode of the show below.
