President Obama’s Rendition of “Let’s Stay Together” Boosts Song Sales
Not many people would think of the President of the United States as an influential player in the music sales business, but President Obama has managed to do a little of that very thing.According to Billboard.com, the President's rendition of Al Green's song "Let's Stay Together" at a fundraising event in mid-January has boosted song sales by 490%. Neilsen SoundScan reports the number, saying sales at their peak made for the best digital sales week for any song since the Neilsen started tracking sales in 2003.
