Olympians To Visit Middle Schools
The USA Men’s Curling Team will be the featured speakers at the eleventh annual Essentia Health Fit-n-Fun Middle School Assemblies.
The Olympians will give presentations to students at Ordean East Middle School at 8:45 a.m. and at Superior Middle School at 2:10 p.m. May 8, 2018. The Essentia Health 2018 Fit-n-Fun Run for Northland schools will be held on May 16 at Duluth’s Public Schools Stadium track.
Among the messages, the curlers will convey to the students is the importance of an active lifestyle, goal setting, pursuing opportunities that are bigger than self, and the significance of teamwork.
About the Essentia Health Fit-n-Fun Series
In 2008, Grandma’s Marathon and the Young Athletes Foundation partnered with Essentia Health to create the Fit-n-Fun Middle School Assemblies and Fit-n-Fun Run. These two initiatives are aimed at motivating children to lead healthier lifestyles.
