New Year Holiday Brings Changes To Superior’s Garbage + Recycling Collection

The upcoming New Years holiday will bring changes to the garbage and recycling collection schedule in the City of Superior. Officials with the Public Works Department are working to alert residents about the changes so that they can plan accordingly.

All City offices, the Public Works Department and the landfill will be closed on  Wednesday, January 1, 2020. For the week of New Years, service will be altered in the following ways:

• Residents that have Monday collection dates - will see no change to their pickup schedule.
• Residents that have Tuesday and Wednesday collection dates - should plan to have their garbage carts out to the alley by 7:00 AM on Tuesday, December 31 for collection.
• Residents that have Thursday and Friday collection dates - will see no change to their pickup schedule.

As far as recycling goes, that schedule will be delayed by one day on those dates - according to the city's website. Click here for more details.
