New Soul Food Restaurant Opening In Downtown Duluth

I was driving home from work the other day when I noticed a sign in one of the windows near the station. I did some research and found out that the new spot will be opening - and soon!
The restaurant is called Doc Witherspoon's Soul Food Shack and according to the website for the spot, the plan is for it to open this month. The restaurant will serve made-from-scratch dishes like chicken, fish, burgers, sandwiches and dessert.
They also offer starters like chicken salad, wings, chicken and dumpling soup and fried cornbread. Like we said, just reading this story will make you hungry.
The restaurant is located at 319 West 1st Street in downtown Duluth. Once they open, you can feast there from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. They will also be offering to-go orders.
As mentioned, the shack is planning to open this month. According to the restaurant's Facebook page, they were aiming for a soft opening at the start of the month but decided to push it back. We will keep you updated when we learn of an opening date. Hopefully it is soon because this food looks amazing.
