The Minnesota Twins announced that they are making some improvements to Target Field for the 2019 season.

The expansion will happen at gate 34 and will include the addition of two new entry points to help decrease crowd congestion, they will also expand the canopy to help protect crowds for the elements during security checks.

According to the Twins, expansion of gate 34 will add "9,300 square feet of new space inside the ballpark. Included in that space will be approximately 5,600 square feet of turf. Seating, stand up tables, lawn games, and additional activations will provide fans with flexible options and enhanced mobility around the plaza, and will also be an alternative area for kids to play in a friendly setting."

They will also be adding an area called 'The  Market', which the Twins say, will "provide access to various merchants from across Twins Territory while also accommodating activities such as autograph signings, food, and beverage options and added entertainment."

Sounds like some great upgrades, now if they would only make some much-needed improvements of the team to actually make going to the games funs and competitive.
