Following suit with a decision made by the Minnesota Twins before their Monday game against the Boston Red Sox to postpone to a future date, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Wild organizations announced postponements of their Monday games.

In a statement shared via social media, the Wild explained they are postponing Monday's game against the St. Louis Blues (scheduled for 7 pm at the Xcel Energy Center) "Out of respect for the heartbreaking incident that occurred last night in Brooklyn Center". They went on to extend their condolences to the family and friends of Daunte Wright, and announced the game against St. Louis would be rescheduled for May 12.

The Minnesota Timberwolves issued a statement via their website, saying they would also be postponing Monday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets. The statement from the Wolves reads as follows:

Yesterday’s tragic event, involving the life of Daunte Wright, once again leaves our community mourning. After consultation with the League, and local and state officials, we believe postponing tonight’s game versus the Brooklyn Nets is the best decision.

Information regarding the rescheduling of tonight’s game and ticket details will be released in the near future.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx extend our sincere sympathies to the family of Daunte Wright.

The Wolves have not set a makeup date for Monday's game.

As of right now, all three teams have not made announcements about any other games in the near future.
