A trending Minnesota-based restaurant plans to triple their footprint in the state with additional locations in the works.  Duluth is one of the cities they plan to expand into.

The announcement from Wayzata-based Crisp & Green came last week.  As part of their marketing and strategic plans for the future, they're planning on expanding into ten different markets that they haven't been in before.

Crisp & Green's menu is salad-forward, with "Signature Salad" offerings, make-your-own salads, and a variety of grain bowls.  They also offer smoothies on their menu - all of which are gluten free.  There are even a few kids meal choices. Their company website describes their restaurant mission in the following way:

"We believe nourishing your healthy lifestyle goes beyond the kitchen.  We are devoted to delivering an exceptionally crisp experience to our guests, not just with our chef-crafted and scratch-made menu, but also through our high standard of service, our believe in being 100% authentic, and our passionate commitment to our community."

Last weeks announcement from Crisp & Green was reported in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal.  The article doesn't detail where in Duluth the new location for the chain is planned.

Crisp & Green's new locations would be located in the following communities:

  • Duluth
  • Brainerd
  • Lino Lakes
  • Mankato
  • Prior Lake/Savage
  • St. Cloud
  • St. Louis Park
  • Roseville
  • Rogers
  • White Bear Lake

Those ten new restaurant locations would join the recently announced sites planned for Apple Valley, Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport, Plymouth, and Woodbury.  Once the new sites are constructed, they would bring Crisp & Green's total Minnesota footprint to 31 restaurants.  "Nationwide, there are 175 Crisp & Green stores built or in development in 19 states".

As far as the timeline foes for completion, Crisp & Green is acting aggressively to get them finished.  "[T]he company expects to open eight in 2022, nine in 2023, and four in 2024".

No word on the expected ground breaking for the Duluth site or its anticipated grand opening.
