The Minnesota Vikings honored Mick Tingelhoff, their latest inductee into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, at halftime during the week 3 matchup between the Vikings and San Diego Chargers. Tingelhoff, who anchored the offensive line at center for the Vikings for many years, was the honorary captain of the game and was presented with his Hall of Fame ring during a ceremony at halftime.

Along with Tingelhoff, Chris Doleman, Carl Eller, Randall McDaniel, Alan Page, Fran Tarkenton, John Randle and Bud Grant were on hand for the ceremony. Similarly to the Hall of Fame Induction, Tarkenton spoke on Tingelhoff's behalf during the ceremony.

Tingelhoff never missed a start through 17 years with the Vikings. He earned 6 consecutive Pro Bowl appearances and played in 4 Super Bowl games in his career.
