Many people say "I should run for office" or they say "I'd love to run for political office, but I don't know how to get started".  A free class being offered at the Superior Public Library aims to answer those questions and help many in the general public take the first steps to running for political office.  The classes run April 18, April 25, and May 2 - 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

The sessions will be taught by current Superior Mayor Jim Paine and City Councilor Jenny Van SIckle.  The program was organized by former Douglas County Public Defender Leslie Dollen and UWS professor Daniela Mansbach.  Participants will learn the steps involved and get a "behind the scenes" look at how to go about staging and running a campaign for political office.

These classes in civic involvement are absolutely free and open to the general public.  The organizers are hoping for a large number of people participating.  Visit the Citizens Free School Superior Facebook page to get more information about the organization, the classes, and their offerings.
