Lake Avenue Bridge Inspection To Close I-35 Lanes Dec 17-25

A quick project to inspect parts of the Lake Avenue Bridge will close lanes along I-35 during the next week. Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are alerting drivers the single lane closures on I-35 under that bridge from December 17 through December 25. The lane closures will occur during the daytime hours of 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

Specifically, work crews will be inspecting the box girders on the Lake Avenue Bridge as part of a routine look at the infrastructure piece.

MNDOT doesn't anticipate the project lasting longer than the announced timeline. However - like with any project - they remind drivers that unforeseen obstacles can sometimes push deadlines beyond their suggested completion.
