Next time you go to the store, you may see a new sign posted at several stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Unfortunately, you might also be leaving the store without one of the items on your grocery list.

4 Stores in Minnesota + Wisconsin That Are Now Limiting Egg Purchases
I thought about buying eggs at Costco but that thought quickly left once I noticed that there weren't any available. Last year, 40,000 egg-laying birds died due to avian influenza. Today, it is estimated that 17.2 million egg-laying hens have been impacted by avian influenza.
The bird flu is taking a toll on our wallets and now several news sources are reporting that egg shortages are appearing at stores throughout the United States, including in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
Below are four stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin that have limits on how many cartons of eggs can be purchased:
Costco - customers have a limit of three packages of eggs (normally sold in two-dozen or four-dozen cartons)
Trader Joe's - customers can buy one dozen eggs per day
Aldi - some locations have a limit of 2 dozen eggs per visit
Walmart - there isn't a limit right now on a carton of 12 eggs but there is for the 60-count package. There is a limit of two per transaction for the 60-count.
Whole Foods - no limit yet but empty shelves are being reported at many locations throughout the country
Target - there isn't a limit right now but notes are posted in the store apologizing for the lack of supply
