Don’t Miss The Annual Two Harbors Winter Frolic
When it comes to the Twin Ports, winter can sometimes seem like it really drags on. This is especially the case in longer bouts of extreme cold or massive amounts of snow like we saw in December 2022.
Thankfully event organizers in Duluth, Superior, and surround towns and cities are pretty good with putting on community and family-oriented events. For example, coming up on the 27th and 28th of January is Superior's Lake Superior Ice Festival. It's two days of motorcycle, dirt bike, and ATV ice racing, a craft fair, ice sculptures, fireworks, and plenty more.
Not long after the Lake Superior Ice Festival is one of my favorite annual events for the area, the Two Harbors Winter Frolic. Hosted in Two Harbors, Minnesota, it's another event spanning a couple of days with activities for the whole family.
Running from February 10th-11th 2023, I'd challenge you to not find something fun to do there, even if it's just playing spectator at the events. At the Winter Frolic you'll find live music, vendors, sliding hills, outdoor kickball, raffles, races for kids and adults, and the famous Smoosh Races. Not sure what a Smooch Race is? Read about it on the post below from the Two Harbors Winter Frolic Facebook Page:
While a majority of activities at the Winter Frolic take place outdoors, there is always somewhere close by the events to stop in to warm up and grab a hot cocoa or maybe even an adult beverage. So don't let any cold temps keep you from the fun.
Friday the 10th there will be live music from Hannah Rey at Castle Danger Brewery, and on Saturday The Northwood's Band will be rocking the Two Harbors Moose Lodge. The Two Harbors Winter Frolic is two days of good ole fun just a short drive from Duluth, so come hang out.
