What’s The Total? Final Snowfall Reports Across Northern Minnesota + Wisconsin From Late March Storm

While some people across the Northland didn't get quite the amount of snow that was being forecasted before flakes started to fly, other places got every bit of what was in the forecast from this multi-day late March storm.

In some parts of Northern Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin, this week's storm doubled the total amount of snow received all winter. Did that happen in Duluth? Well, not quite.

Even though some places in Duluth got a lot of snow, the official measuring station for Duluth at the National Weather Service Office on top of the hill had seen 19.7 inches of snow before this storm. The last report from their office showed a storm total of 15.4 inches. While it didn't quite double the amount of snow of the whole season in one storm, it was pretty close!

While some lighter snow has fallen since some of these reports filed by weather spotters around the region, we have a pretty good sense of how much snow fell during this storm that started on Sunday, and wrapped up late Tuesday. We'll be updating this post with any additional totals as they come in.

Snow reports from March 24-26, 2024 Storm Across Northern Minnesota & Wisconsin

As you can see in the map from the National Weather Service from Tuesday night, much of the Northland saw at least 8-12 inches of snow, with some spots in the Brainerd area and around Lake Superior soaring past that.
