Minnesota Wild To Hold Open Practice At Duluth’s AMSOIL Arena
The Minnesota Wild will be heading north from their normal practice home for an open practice event at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth this fall.
The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) announced Tuesday morning that the team will be returning to the ice at AMSOIL Arena for an open practice for the first time since 2021.
The event will be free and open to the public, providing fans the opportunity to see the full roster of Wild players - including the likes of Kirill Kaprizov, Matt Boldy, Jonas Brodin, and Marc-Andre Fleury, all in Duluth.
More than 1,000 people were in attendance the last time the Wild held an open practice at AMSOIL Arena, with a fun and "lively" environment reported among fans when they were in Duluth in 2021.
This year's event will be held as they finish up their preseason activities ahead of the 2023-2024 season.
Fans will be able to attend this event, with both free DECC parking and free admission to AMSOIL Arena on Tuesday, October 3. Doors will open at 11:00 am, with practice from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on the ice in the arena.
This open practice comes a couple of days ahead of the Wild's final two preseason games. The team will head to Chicago to play the Blackhawks on Thursday, October 5, and then conclude the preseason on Saturday, October 7 at home against the Dallas Stars.
The Wild's regular season gets underway at home, hosting the Florida Panthers at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 12 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. October's regular season schedule includes a total of 4 home games, with the other three home dates in the first month of the season being October 19 against the LA Kings, October 21 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and October 24 against the Edmonton Oilers.
