Lakefront Brewery Takes the Top Spot

Wisconsin's best cheap restaurant is actually a brewery, started in 1987 in an old, abandoned bakery by two brothers, Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee is not only a place for great beer, but they have what Cheapism calls an "eclectic menu" of cheap food.

Lakefront has a selection of appetizers including cheese curds, soft pretzel and chicken strips all priced $13 and under. They also offer a variety of salads, flatbread, and sandwiches, all priced below $18.

A $5 Deal Food Deal That People in Wisconsin Rave About

I think the highlight of their menu is the locally made sausages available in 1, 2, or 3 sausage flights. Starting at only $5, you can choose from either a brat topped with cider onions, a hot dog with relish and onions, or a kielbasa with fresh kraut.

A visitor could get a sausage and a basket of fries for $11, that's not a bad deal. They also have a fish fry at the brewery every Friday night that even features live polka music.

Food Isn't The Only Deal Lakefront Offers

Cheapism also points out that the weekend brewery tour is also a great deal, for $13 you'll get a behind the scenes look at Lakefront and get four drink tokens plus a branded pint glass to take with you.
