A project to construct new ramps along a stretch of I-35 in Pine County will necessitate their closure and the implementation of detours, starting Monday, August 12. The closures will occur where Highway 7 intersects with the interstate; during the work, the southbound I-35 ramps will be closed.

The timeline for the work is about three weeks, according the the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

While the work is being performed, the detour in place will utilize the ramps at Highway 11 in Pine County and Highway 70 in Rock Creek.

The ramp-work follows the demolition of the Highway 7 Bridge.  That bridge was demolished last month and will remain closed through October 2019.
