Drivers in Pine County will experience a month-long closure of some ramps related to I-35.  Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are alerting drivers that the on- and off-ramps at Highway 7 will close on Monday, September 9 so that they can be replaced.

While the work is being performed, traffic will be redirected via a detour to Highway 70 in Rock Creek and Highway 11 in Pine City.  This particular road project is related to the rebuild of the Highway 7 Bridge, which was demolished earlier this summer in July and will remain closed until October.

MNDOT expects that the work will be finished in four weeks - resulting in the ramps being reopened in the early part of October.  However, unforeseen problems and the weather can always play a role in road projects.
