Husqvarna’s iPhone App Lets You Mow Lawn Without Being Home

Robotic mowers come to rescue for folks lacking time to take care of their homes and gardens. Husqvarna Group — which is the world’s largest producer of outdoor power products including chainsaws, trimmers, lawn mowers and garden tractors — introduced a new iPhone app for its Husqvarna Automower, making it even easier to mow the lawn without even being at home.

The application works with any Automower robotic lawnmower equipped with a GPS Communication Unit, allowing users to remotely start and stop, as well as track mowing from the iPhone’s screen.

Aside from allowing remote handling of the mower, it also enables GPS theft tracker and SMS alert…

Commenting on the news, Husqvarna’s Business Development Manager Stefan Axelsson said: “With the help of Automower we made life a little easier for house owners. With the iPhone app we take gardening one step further. With its help you take control of your lawn as easily as making a phone call.”
