Highway 53 Resurfacing Project Restricts Traffic Near Eveleth Starting September 7

Drivers who travel on Highway 53 near Highway 37 and Eveleth will want to know about a major resurfacing project that will restrict traffic for the next month and half.

Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are alerting motorists that a 12 mile stretch of the highway between County Road 93 and Highway 37 will be reduced to a single lane until the end of October to accommodate the work.  In addition to the lane closures, drivers should also anticipate short delays and slow travel times.
