Highway 2/53 In Superior Re-routed Due To Water Main Break

The cold temperature has caused a water main break in Superior that will affect drivers on Highway 2 and 53 in East Superior.

Crews have diverted traffic on northbound U.S. Highway 53 and westbound U.S. Highway 2 to the southbound/eastbound lanes fro m43rd to 48th avenues east.  Lane restrictions will also be in place.

The work is expected to last a few days and the detour should be done sometime this week and Superior Water, Light and Power should have the problem fixed.
