Summer is the season of road construction!  As we near the half-way point to the summer construction season, officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are alerting drivers to some work that will require temporary lane closures well into fall.

Highway 169 in Mountain Iron and Virginia will see pavement and shoulder rehabilitation starting Monday, July 17.  To accommodate the work, drivers will experience temporary lane closures in various locations.  The work will continue until some point in October;  then, the project will resume in the Spring of 2018, continuing again for the entire road construction season.
