As drivers get ready to head out for their holiday travel plans, they may encounter a quick road construction project in Koochiching County.  According to sources at the Minnesota Department of Transportation, work crews will be start a project on the Highway 11 Bridge over the CN Railroads tracks starting Monday, December 17.

In order to accommodate the work, signs will be posted to restrict traffic down to a single lane.  A flagging operation will also be in existence to ease the workflow.

Workers will repair embankment slopes on  the south side of the Highway 11 Bridge over the CN tracks.  According to MNDOT, workers will be on site 24 hours a day until the project is complete.  At this point the estimated timeline for completion is one week - however that may change due to weather or unforeseen situations.
